BUILDERS??

Calling all builders! Wouldn’t it be awesome to have hundreds and hundreds of different pieces to choose from for your LEGO creations? Drop in on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 3 to 4 for some Lego fun. Come build a spaceship, a treehouse, or whatever your imagination desires! This free range Lego program will let you do it all!

JUNIOR FRIENDS

Join us on Monday March 19, 2018 from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM in the Community Room for our monthly youth??volunteer meeting to discuss ideas for projects and upcoming events. All interested volunteers in grades 4-12 are welcome.

The Junior Friends of the Norton Library is a group designed to let youth take an active role in library programming, promotion, fundraising, and decision-making. Members will have opportunities to help improve the library by decorating the Children???s Room, keeping the children???s and young adult book??collections tidy, planning events, contributing to book, music, movie, and video game selection, and more.

SIMPLY CRAFTY

Join Ms. Marsha from Self Help Inc.’s CFCE on Thursday March 22, 2018 from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM in the Community Room to sing songs, play with toys, read stories, and complete a simple craft loosely based around a monthly theme. There will be a period of free play in the beginning of the program, which allows parents to chat with each other while their children play.

This program is geared toward children ages nine months to three years, and siblings are always welcome.

TAI CHI

Join us on Friday March 23, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Community Room to learn tai chi with instructor Kelley Brophy! Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.

Tai chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels.
