CO-OP ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

North Dighton ??? CO-OP announced that Joyce Faria has accepted the position of President & Chief Executive Officer.
Joyce has been with CO-OP for 37 years, most recently as the agency???s Chief Operating Officer. According to CO-OP Board Chairman Raymond Pelote, ???Joyce has been a driving force behind CO-OP???s culture and mission of supporting all people with developmental and other disabilities with respect and dignity as CO-OP provides opportunities for meaningful participation in areas of personal pursuit.???
After interviewing numerous highly-qualified candidates, the Recruitment Committee and the Board of Directors determined there is no one more qualified and more able to lead CO-OP into the future than Ms. Faria. Under her mission-driven leadership, CO-OP is continuing to expand its reach and scope of services ??? while still ensuring that its programs achieve the highest levels of licensing, certification and accreditation. According to Pelote, ???Joyce is ever-diligent in maintaining the highest quality of care and in remaining committed to individualized and meaningful services to the people CO-OP supports.?? She is respected by all of us on the Board of Directors, her senior management team, and CO-OP staff. Her strengths and strategic planning skills will serve CO-OP well in an ever-changing social services environment.???
