Operation Homefront Names New Massachusetts-Based Regional Development Manager
QUINCY, Mass. ??? Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit serving America???s military families?? since 2002, has hired Spencer, Mass., resident Jennifer Wysocki to be its first ever Regional Development Manager for the Northeastern United States.??

Wysocki began volunteering for Operation Homefront 10 years ago.?? Indeed, Wysocki continued to volunteer even as the U.S. Coast Guard moved her family from Atlantic City to Honolulu to Fort Pierce, Fla.?? A fine arts major from the University of Hawaii-Manoa, she is also a professional artist who recently moved to Central Massachusetts with her family.
Operation Homefront builds strong, stable, and secure military families by providing critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing, and family support services.?? Ninety-two percent of Operation Homefront expenditures go directly to programs that support tens of thousands of military families each year.?? Operation Homefront???s impact includes the following benchmarks:
Since 2011, Operation Homefront has provided nearly $22 million in financial aid, fulfilling more than 37,000 requests for emergency assistance
Since 2008, its Transitional Housing Village program has provided rent-free temporary housing to more than 500 families of wounded service members, saving them nearly $5.2 million in rent and utilities.?? The Villages are based near San Diego, in Gaithersburg, Md., and in San Antonio.
Since 2012, its Homes on the Homefront program has matched nearly 600 military families with mortgage-free homes, and provided more than $60 million in deeded value.
Since 2009, its Holiday Meals for Military?? program has served nearly 70,000 military families ??? impacting more than 300,000 individual family members.
Since 2008 Operation Homefront???s Back to School Brigade?? has distributed more than 300,000 backpacks ??? each accompanied by school supplies ??? to military children.
Its Hearts of Valor?? program provides in-person peer support groups at more than 50 locations — serving more than 3,400 caregivers of wounded warriors.
