Dear Friends,
Mixed Magic Theatre is proud of what it has been able to accomplish in 2017. With Facilities Arts Bond funding we were able to build a beautiful Amphitheater and present a 1st season of summer events including our 10th Annual Greatness of Gospel Concert, Trinity Rep’s Bilingual Romeo and Juliet, and a peace concert titled Where Love is Possible.
We were also able to install a sound-proof wall between our two indoor theater spaces where the company presented critically acclaimed productions of Amiri Baraka’s groundbreaking dramas, Dutchman and The Slave.
Additionally, Mixed Magic Theatre renovated its lobby and installed state of the arts lighting and sound systems in both indoor venues and the outdoor stage. These upgrades will not only allow us to present an even higher quality of work, we will be able to offer more student and adult acting and technical educational programs.
Mixed Magic Theatre is looking to the future with high expectations and continuing to play a major role in positioning Rhode Island as a regional and national center for the performing arts.
As Mixed Magic Theatre looks forward to an exciting 2018 year of programming and events we need your help. Your end of year tax-deductible donation will allow the company to continue to offer high-quality theatre at an affordable price. We will be able to offer more educational and training programs, and play a significant role in building the arts economy.
