SOUTH ATTLEBORO BUSINESS WINS 2017 SHINE ‘N STAR PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

Tow Times magazine and Ford Trucks announce that Sterry Street Towing is the 2017 winner of the People’s Choice Award in the Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest.

The Attleboro family-owned company’s 2017 Peterbilt heavy-duty chassis with a 9055 Century wrecker body stood out among hundreds of entries received from around the U.S. and Canada.??

The tow truck’s blue and purple wave vinyl wrap and paint graphic got the thumbs up from fellow towing company owners and operators who voted it the People’s Choice in the 26th Annual Shine ‘n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest, powered by Ford Trucks.

“It’s nice to win. It’s always nice to win,” says the truck’s driver Mike Horan, who entered the heavy-duty vehicle in the Shine ‘n Star contest. “It turns a lot of heads when you come down the road with it.”

Fred DeLuca, general manager of the tow company that’s been in operation nearly 40 years, adds,?? “We used to have a purple splash on the side of the trucks then it got kind of dated.” The company modernized the design with this winner. “People recognize the truck and it adds a little pizzazz.”

The annual Shine ???n Star Tow Truck Photo Beauty Contest taps into towing operators??? pride in their fleet, providing an opportunity to show off the beauty and brawn of their equipment.

Tow Times received hundreds of entries from around the country and Canada, with the 16 winners hailing from 13 states. The good-looking trucks were selected in five different categories, ranging from Grand Prize, People’s Choice, light-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty, car carrier and working truck.??????

The People’s Choice award winner was announced in the November issue of Tow Times magazine and also will be profiled in a later issue.
