JEANNETTE de BEAUVOIR
???I am incredibly excited about this mystery series set in Provincetown,??? says HomePort Press publisher Arthur Mahoney. ???The town???s diverse population???and divergent opinions???make it the perfect spot for murder. The various theme weeks allow Jeannette to examine group dynamics, marginalization, and everyday acts of courage in an enjoyable read that subtly reminds us we are more alike than different.???
???It???s the perfect opportunity to explore what happens when murder ups the ante and forces people to really scrutinize their opinions and beliefs,??? says de Beauvoir. ???And besides that? It???s just plain fun. We celebrate a lot of diversity here and do it with joy, and the books tap into that as well.???
Death of a Bear: A Provincetown Mystery, the first in the series of ???cozy mysteries with a twist??? was published earlier this year. Homeport Press plans to release two novels a year in the series, including events such as Carnival, Women???s Week, the Portuguese Festival, and the Provincetown International Film Festival.
The public is invited to a launch party on Saturday, October 7, at 2:00 pm in the Provincetown Public Library???s Marc Jacobs Room, 356 Commercial Street, Provincetown.
??Murder at Fantasia Fair is available in mass-market paperback and ebook formats, available both online and from local independent booksellers.
