41st Annual Save The Bay Swim Registration Opens March 6 Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 6: 15 AM
Newport Navy Base, Newport to Potter Cove, Jamestown, Rhode Island.??
500 swimmers and nearly 200 ??kayakers traverse 1.7 miles across the Bay to raise money and awareness for Save The Bay.
The Swim is Save The Bay???s largest annual fundraiser, serving as a critical support to our efforts to protect and restore the Narragansett Bay region.
Registration opens Monday, March 6, 2017
Swimmer Registration Fee: $50.00 (This fee is non-transferable and non-refundable).
Includes parking, shuttle service, bag check, swim cap, towel, medal, event t-shirt, a post-swim party with free massage, yoga, live music, awards, vendors and plenty to eat and drink!
Fundraising Requirement: $400 (including registration fee). Each swimmer is responsible for raising a minimum of $400 to support Save The Bay’s largest fundraiser. Prizes will be awarded for fundraising levels of $650 and up.
Kayak Registration Fee: $50.
There is no fundraising requirement for kayakers who serve solely as support for an individual swimmer.??(This fee is non-transerable and non-refundable).
Registering with accessories:??Swimmers who register with fins, paddles or any accessory will be automatically placed in Wave 5 for the safety of all participants.
Wait List Option
Most years, the Swim fills up during the first weeks of registration and then participants will default to a wait list. Once full, a swimmer can request to be placed on the wait list and as participants drop due to injury, illness, other engagements, etc., the person next on the list will be contacted and given first option for the dropped swimmer???s spot.
