City of Pawtucket Announces Dedicated Walk-In Hours for the Department of Commerce, Planning, and Redevelopment
Pawtucket, RI – January, 1– The City of Pawtucket is pleased to announce dedicated walk-in hours for the Department of Commerce, Planning, and Redevelopment, designed to enhance efficiency, provide predictable service, and improve overall accessibility for residents, businesses, and developers. These changes come as part of ongoing efforts to streamline operations and better serve the Pawtucket community.
Effective January 2, 2025:
Walk-In Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
While the Department of Commerce, Planning, and Redevelopment is open during all City Hall business hours, appointments outside walk-in hours are required and can be scheduled upon request.
Recommended Services and Appointments
The Department of Commerce, Planning, and Redevelopment provides essential services to residents, business owners, and developers. While walk-in services are available during designated hours, appointments are encouraged for more complex matters to ensure thorough assistance.
The following services are particularly recommended for appointments:
Zoning and Land Use Consultations: Assistance with zoning regulations, development proposals, and project planning.
Historic District Applications: Support with submission requirements and public notices.
Planning and Redevelopment Inquiries: Comprehensive consultations on larger-scale projects.
Planning Commission: Consultations and process guidance as well as review for development plans.
A short-term grace period will be observed to accommodate those adjusting to the new hours, with walk-in services available during all regular business hours through April 1, 2025.
