FIGURE DRAWING
PAC hosts figure drawing year round from 10am to 1pm Saturdays.
Fees are $12 for non-members, $10 for members.
Sessions usually include a 20 minute warm-up with multiple short poses followed by 20 minute poses with breaks. Interested artists should contact Frank at fjlstudio33@gmail.com with questions or to be added to the weekly reminder as well as any late cancellation notifications.
Chairs are provided but we ask attendees to bring their own easels if possible. Materials are not provided.
PORTRAIT DRAWING SESSIONS
Select Wednesdays: 1pm-4pm. Members pay $10; non-members $12
This is not a class and you must bring your own supplies and easel. Chairs are provided.
The session is in the PAC gallery, first floor, in the Lorraine Mills complex, 560 Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket. Handicapped access in front, parking in the side lot–the door leads to the basement and one must climb stairs to the first floor or use the elevator.
All odorless mediums are accepted. It’s an informal, comfortable atmosphere and beginners are welcome.
VERY IMPORTANT! Post your portraits with pride on the internet, but never post a photo of the model without first getting a signed legal release!
Interested in sitting for a portrait class?
It’s a great experience watching the artists develop their portraits, you can take all the photos you want, and we will pay you $50 for your time. A model sits for 20 minutes at a time and then gets a ten minute break along with coffee and cookies. Street clothing is fine but costume is welcome. It’s a great deal to be sure!
