Promoting and preserving Attleboro’s historical treasures

The Attleboro Historic Preservation Society, Inc. (AHPS) was organized in 1999 by a group of citizens concerned with the future of the East Attleborough Academy Building located at 28 Sanford Street in downtown Attleboro.

The Society works in conjunction with the Attleboro Historical Commission to

Preserve, promote and develop the historical assets of the Attleboro

Promote the education of all citizens of Attleboro as to the historical treasures located within the city

Promote the study, collection and preservation of historical records, traditions, relics, landscapes, landmarks and building located in and related to Attleboro

We’re ready for our 2024-2025 season of programs and ask your help in letting people know about this month’s offering.

Free, open to the public and kid-friendly:  September 19 at 6:30 PM, the Attleboro Historic Preservation Society is kicking off their 2024-2025 programs with the ever-popular Show & Tell!

Bring YOUR story, photo, artifact or other memorabilia to share at the meeting – we want to hear you Attleboro history!  Or, if you have a “history mystery” – maybe one of our members can help solve it!

In addition, the Industrial Museum has graciously shared their exhibit space at the museum.

Come and learn about some of our recent acquisitions and see the unveiling of our temporary exhibit.

We will have our Attleboro memorabilia for sale and a raffle.

Light reception for the unveiling of our exhibit.
