ROUND THE BEND FARM POWWOW DARTMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS

Wampanoag Experience Powwow

Saturday, Sept. 17th 10am-5pm

The Wampanoag Experience provides opportunities to participate in Wampanoag traditions and lifeways to highlight Native wisdom and build bridges amongst diverse peoples.

Native approaches to environmental sustainability, community & governance, history, arts & crafts, and other topics will be featured, with the kick-off project being the communal building of a traditional Wampanoag wetu residence, under the guidance of Wampanoag Annawon Weeden, on the grounds of the Round the Bend Farm, South Dartmouth, MA.

This is a FREE event and open to all!

The wetu will be presented to the community at a powwow at Round the Bend Farm on Saturday, September 17 from 10:00am-5:00pm. The powwow will present Native activities such as dancing & drumming, arts & crafts, farming demonstrations, Native food vending, story-telling, etc.

Sponsored by: L. Knife and Son, Inc., a division of Sheehan Family Companies
