Whitehouse Applauds EPA’s Strong Emissions Rule for Passenger Cars and Trucks

Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee and a senior member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, issued the following statement on the Environmental Protection Agency’s strong new rule to lower emissions from passenger cars and trucks:
“The Biden administration’s new car and truck standards set an example for the world to follow.
This rule will lower costs for drivers and support good jobs manufacturing clean cars and trucks here in the USA, all while bringing the planet closer to climate safety and making the air safer to breathe.”
