16TH ANNUAL PAWTUCKET FOUNDATION SHOW

Just a friendly reminder that we are accepting art work for 14 more days..

16th Annual Pawtucket Foundation Juried show with Guest Juror Bob Dilworth  top prize $1000  

All show details below, please pass along and share with any RI area artists, 

This is an unthemed, all-mediums show with great cash prizes. 

$1000 top prize, $500 2nd Prize, $250 3rd prize, and two honorable mentions! 

*Digital entries only, please follow instructions closely and make sure all payments are made. Max 2 pieces, max 60″, max 100lbs. Entry into the show does not mean acceptance, emails will go out in early March with the jurors selections for the show. 

*PAC Membership is $35 a year and active members receive a discounted submission rate. 

16th Annual Pawtucket Foundation Show with Guest Juror Bob Dilworth

For the 16th Year the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative will pair up with the Pawtucket Foundation to celebrate our amazing artist community. This year we are very lucky to have the talented R) artist Bob Dilworth as our guest juror. As this is an unthemed show, we welcome artists from all mediums and experience levels to submit work. 

Top Prize $1000

2nd $500 

3rd $250 

2 honorable mentions $75 each 

Prize Winners will be announced and awarded at the opening 

Thursday, March 28th 5:30-7:30 

Opening will have live music and refreshments, all are welcome! 

Digital Submission Window: 1/10/24 thru Midnight 2/26/24

*Works that lack digital image attachments, are missing entry fees, or that come in after midnight 2/26/24 will be automatically rejected. Jurors’ decisions will go to the email address you provide when applying for the show. Juror decisions will go out via email by 3/19/24.

Accepted Art must be hand delivered to the PAC Gallery Friday 3/22 or Sunday 3/24 times TBA. Artists with complex hanging instructions or display needs asked to attend the art installation on 3/24 to assist. PAC does have some pedestals but encourages artists to bring their own if they have particular presentation criteria. All works must be wired to hang (no sawhooks). PAC reserves the right to turn away any artwork deemed unstable or safe to hang/display.

ABOUT GUEST JUROR BOB DILWORTH 

Nationally and Internationally recognized and exhibited, Bob Dilworth’s works on canvas and paper have won many awards, including the recipient of the 2024 General Operating Support for Artists Grant from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts and the 2014 the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Fellowship in painting, as well as grants from the Rhode Island Foundation, University of Rhode Island Center for the Humanities, the University of Rhode Island Council for Research, the National John Biggers Award in drawing, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts.

His work has also won fellowships from the following artist residencies: Iris Project Artist Residency Program in LA, California; Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Saratoga, Wyoming; Angels Gate Cultural Center in association with Marymount California University in San Pedro, CA; Playa Artist Residency in Summer Lake, OR; Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snow Mass, CO; Hambidge Creative Center for the Arts and Science in Rabun Gap, GA; the Klaus Center for the Arts, San Pedro, CA; Contemporary Artist Center in North Adams, MA; the African American Master Artist in Residence Program (AAMARP), Northeastern University in Boston, MA; and Le Cite International des Artes, Artist Residency, Paris, France. 

His work is included in corporate and private collections including many Chicago libraries and public institutions, the RISD Museum, the Newport Art Museum and others. Bob earned a Masters of Fine Art Degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Bachelors of Fine Art Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. He has taught art and design at colleges and universities throughout the country, including; Princeton University, Brown University, Columbia College in Chicago and Saint Paul’s College in Virginia.  He is Professor Emeritus, Department of Art & Art History at the University of Rhode Island, where he taught for 28.5 years. Between 2010 and 2013 he served as chair of that department. From 2014-2018, Dilworth served as Director of the URI Main Art Gallery where he curated academic-centered exhibitions by local, regional and national artists.

 560 Mineral Spring Ave. Pawtucket, RI  First floor, in between Ms. Lorraine Diner and Mixed Magic Theater. Accessible ramp entrance available at front of building. Additional parking available on the side of the building with a sculpture garden at the back. There is an entrance midway along the building. Gallery located one flight up at the end of the hall.

*All work must be hand delivered to the PAC Gallery, we may ask artists with complex or specific hanging requirements to attend the art hanging to assist. Works must all be for sale and able to hang for the duration of the show. PAC charges a 30% commission on any art sales.
