Spotlighting Our RICAS Rockstars!
In October, we released the 2023 Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS) results. Now, we are highlighting schools and districts that have gone above and beyond to support students’ success and improve school culture with another edition of our RICAS Rockstars series.
Our first stop was in Burrillville at Steere Farm Elementary, where we talked to students, educators and administrators and learned of how they were able to push forward. They shared that they focused on implementing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and were able to significantly increase English Language Arts (ELA) results. Our next stop was Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School in Coventry, where the school’s principal is using an Olympic gold medal-winning mentality to put his school on a path to success.
