SOUTH COAST ARTISTS

Welcoming Our New President

Steve selfie

South Coast Artists is happy to welcome Stephen Remick as our new President. He replaces Heather Stivison, who is now our Board Chair. Steve has been involved with SCA since 2014, most recently as a member of the Board as Sign Chair for several years. Steve is a born and raised Vermonter who came to our area in the 1980’s to attend Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA, where he received a BFA in painting. Steve and his wife, artist, Anne Carrozza Remick, live in Dartmouth, MA.

As we enter our third decade, we’re excited to create new ways to grow our membership and connect artists and audiences. Our flagship Open Studio Tours are what put us on the map, but did you know there are other ways to connect with the artists among us?

In addition to the Tour, SCA holds two annual group exhibitions at venues in the area, our Spring Invitational and Holiday Exhibition. Many of our artists can be found on our website,

www.southcoastartists.org,

no need to wait for the Tours or group shows, you can contact our artists directly. Another way we serve the art community is by providing an annual grant for emerging young artists who are still in school.

We encourage you to follow our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. There, you’ll find up-to-date information on SCA’s activities along with our diverse community of artists’ own shows and updates. We look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones in our beautiful coastal communities. As always, thank you for your continued support, it’s the motivation behind our creativity!
