Here are the new April programs for Mass Audubon???s Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary. They include our Family Nature Hikes, April Vacation Programs, Roots and Shoots and our new Sensory Explorations program??
Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 8th,
Session 1: 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Session 2:?? 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Audience: Families (suitable for?? 3 ??? 12 yrs)
Members: Child $8.00
Nonmembers: Child $10.00??
Join us for an eggciting program as we dye eggs with natural dyes, create bird nests, visit with some egg-laying animals, and learn about different types of eggs in out educational stations before heading out for our annual egg hunt.??Search for a variety of eggs including both plastic and naturally dyed eggs in our field.?? Some eggs can be redeemed for prizes while others have surprises hidden inside.?? One Golden Egg containing a $100 gift-card good towards camp or program will be hidden during each hunt! Family Nature Hikes

Join us on our monthly hike of the sanctuary.?? Get outside and get some exercise!?? These guided hikes are a great way to learn about local plants and animals.?? Roots & Shoots started as a small youth-led community action program founded by Dr. Jane Goodall in 1991. Now, it???s globally comprised of thousands of youth inspired to make the world a better place. Oak Knoll???s program will help develop self-respect, confidence, and hope for the future through fun and exciting steward-based group activities. Hours served in the program can be documented for community service portfolios. Come to one or all classes. Sensory Explorations

Join us on our monthly hike exploring Attleboro Spring???s accessible Reflection Trail behind LaSalette Shrine.?? Each month will focus on using a different sense to investigate natural wonders.?? We may explore using only our hearing or look at the features of a tree from centimeters away. Classes meet first at the Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary and then drive over to Attleboro Springs. In case of inclement weather all programs will instead be held in the nature center at Oak Knoll.??
