The United Regional Chamber of Commerce recently joined family and friends to cut the ribbon at new member Orchid Dental at 555 Pleasant Street in Attleboro. Dr. Trinh Vo and her welcoming staff gave tours, highlighting their new facility. Senator Paul Feeney, State Rep. Jim Hawkins, and Attleboro Mayor Cathleen DeSimone presented citations welcoming Orchid Dental to Attleboro.

Dr. Trinh Vo was born in Vietnam and moved to Attleboro when she was eleven with her family. She graduated from Attleboro High School before obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree at Providence College.

It was during her time with the Friars that she found herself drawn to a career that enabled her to help others realize their best smiles: dental care. With her goal for service ingrained, Dr. Vo volunteered hundreds of hours at local hospitals and dental clinics.

At the Dental Clinic at the Boston VA, she met with veterans, interacted with them, and heard their stories. She realized she wanted to join the military to serve our nation’s brave warriors.

Right after Dr. Vo completed the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at Boston University, she joined the United States Army as a dentist and served for five years before moving back to her hometown to be with her family.

Dr. Vo has made immense contributions to the United States Army as a general dentist, having earned her advanced education in general dentistry and serving as their elected continuing education coordinator for 150+ dentists.

She has received several honors including an army commendation medal, two army achievement medals, recognition twice as best junior dental provider, and finally – most laudably – the meritorious service medal which recognized her service excellence in providing dental care to military personnel.
