This Friday, March 31, there will be a work party at Anthony Lawrence Wildlife Preserve, 45 Hope Avenue, Attleboro, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The trails at the Preserve are in good shape. The work party will concentrate on off-trail tasks:
— Clearing brush along property boundaries
— Picking up trash
— Removing invasive plants
Tools needed may include:
— Standard rakes and leaf rakes
— Loppers, pruning shears, pruning saws, and other pruning tools
— Shovels
— String trimmers, weed whackers, brush cutters
— Chain saw
We will have some tools, but please bring what you have.
Dress accordingly for protection against poison ivy and ticks. Please bring your own:
— Work gloves
— Water
I realize that many of you are not available on weekdays. If you are thinking of attending, please reply to give me an idea of how many volunteers to expect.
