Dear Friends,
Special Olympics Rhode Island’s Annual Penguin Plunge starts the New Year with a splash as hundreds of brave souls plunge into the water at noon at Roger Wheeler Beach in Narragansett. Those brave souls also raise thousands of dollars for Rhode Island athletes to participate in life-changing Special Olympics programs. Please join us to help impact the lives of Rhode Islanders with intellectual disabilities.
The 47th Annual Penguin Plunge will take part on January 1 at Roger Wheeler Beach in Narragansett.
Registration will open at 10am.
The General Plunge will be at 12 noon.
Our Family Friendly Plunge is at 12:30.
Incentives (shirts, hats, etc.) offered.

Now is the best time to set up your fundraising page.
$25 fee is charged when you register, which will go towards your fundraising total.
Raise $50 to earn a Penguin Plunge short sleeved shirt.
Raise $100 and earn a long sleeve shirt.
Raise more, earn more!
You can also register at the beach on January 1st and earn incentives when you donate.

Virtual Plunge
Similar to plunging at Roger Wheeler Beach, but you can plunge from anywhere, anytime you’d like! We started this “Virtual Plunge” model during the pandemic and were delighted at the creative ways people plunged.
So you’re going away for New Year’s? You can register and fundraise, plunge from where you are, and send us a photo or video! All to benefit SORI.
