Providence Children’s Museum Hosts WaterFire for April’s First Cultural Connection Event Providence, RI
–Providence Children’s Museum (PCM) will host WaterFire for its April Cultural Connections Event on Saturday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m.
Sponsored by the Institute for Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS), Cultural Connections is a monthly event designed to bring the best of Rhode Island’s Cultural institutions to children. WaterFire at PCM will feature their latest exhibit Planet Earth, the Environment, and Our Future.
During the session, visitors will view exhibit artifacts, learn about conservation, and create a work of art to be featured at WaterFire Arts Center. Participants will also dream big and share their wishes on stars and that will be hung in the constellation in Memorial Park.
“The core purpose of Cultural Connections is to ensure that our visitors feel the same ownership in other cultural institutions that they do here,” says Executive Director Caroline Payson. “Now, our attendees will be able to visit WaterFire and see their wishes displayed all season long.”
Registration is required for the event and includes museum admission.
