Dear Neighbor,
It’s been two years since we have been able to meet downtown and fully celebrate PVDFest. While we all enjoyed our virtual or smaller gatherings, nothing compares to the joy, artistry, and celebration that fills our streets, and our hearts, during a Downtown PVDFest celebration. Our team has worked hard to bring PVDFest back this year, and I hope you’ll join us June 10 through 12.
Earlier this week, we announced the headliners for this year’s festival, and we have some incredible talent joining us here in Providence.
The Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band is set to kick off the weekend in style, bringing with them pure vibrancy and fun for all. Headlining Saturday night will be one of the world’s best living pianists, eight-time Grammy Award-winner Eddie Palmieri. We’ll be joined by PVDFest veterans Squonk and their latest outdoor spectacle, “Hand to Hand.” One of Peru’s most sought-after indie bands, Hit La Rosa, will perform with a bang, combining Cumbia and pop music, folklore, jazz, and dancehall. PVDFest wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors and community. This year’s sponsors include the Providence City Council, the Providence Tourism Council, Waste Management, the Boston Globe Rhode Island, Tufts Health Plan, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, ProvPort, Waterson Terminal Services, LLC, WPRI Media Group, iHeart Media, Bank of America, Citizens Bank, Delta Dental and many others.
And, there’s still time to be part of the magic yourself! In addition to sponsors, PVDFest relies on the contributions of the hard-working volunteers to make the event a memorable experience for everyone. You can volunteer for just a few hours or for a whole day this year by signing up here.
In the meantime, follow the festival on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay up-to-date with the latest news.
Meet us outside June 10-12 for the comeback!
