RIPTA and RIDOT Remind Public of Meeting Dates for Proposed RIPTA Service Changes in Downtown Providence 

Virtual Public Meetings Will Be Held Thursday, February 24 and Tuesday, March 8, 2022

 

Providence, Rhode Island – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) will host virtual public meetings on proposed changes to bus service in downtown Providence on Thursday, February 24 and Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

In light of the City of Providence’s proposed changes to reimagine Kennedy Plaza, RIPTA and RIDOT will focus on the development of a new transit center on Dorrance Street. These virtual public meetings are an opportunity for the public to submit their input on the development of this new transit facility.

Passengers are invited to view the proposed changes at
