!CITYARTS! PROVIDENCE

At !CityArts¡, there is rarely a dull moment.

At any time, there are as many as 30 to 40 creatives making art, teaching, eating, catching up with friends, or meeting with mentors. We love our building and all the buzz of activity, but sometimes we need a quiet space to reflect and reboot.

Thanks to the generous contributions of time, creativity, and effort from Hasbro, we are thrilled to debut our new Zen Room with you!

Every year on their Global Day of Joy, Hasbro employees take time to contribute their time and creative genius to help people and organizations in their communities. This past December, the Hasbro team brought their design and artistic skills to ¡CityArts! and transformed our old program office into our beautiful new Zen Room.

The Zen Room is a calm and mindful place for young artists to utilize before and during workshop time. Young artists, Mentors, and TAs usually come to ¡CityArts! straight from a hectic day at school or work.

The Zen Room is a restorative space for young artists to decompress after a long school day, re-center during a high-energy workshop, or connect more intentionally with teaching artists and/or mentors.

In addition to our Zen Room, Hasbro’s Charitable Foundation also gifted ¡CityArts! general support funds to support our studio workshops.  Hasbro is an important member of the Providence community, and we are grateful for its commitment to supporting art-based educational opportunities for youth in Greater Providence.

Make Our Work Possible!

At CityArts, we believe that making art is an act of care, love, and respect through which young artists express their ideas, learn about the world, and celebrate their place in it. We are fighting to nurture self-knowledge and community building, now more than ever.

Please help ¡CityArts! secure these opportunities for our youth and make a gift today.

Whether you give $5 or $5,000, every dollar you contribute supports the work we do all year long: providing FREE arts education and art-making materials to Providence youth.
