ROCKPORT MA GOP CAUCUS

Rockport GOP caucus cancelled, will be Re-scheduled.

Dear Friends

This message is to inform you that the Rockport Republican Caucus, originally scheduled for Saturday morning January 29th is cancelled due to the pending snowstorm we are predicted to have starting Friday night and going into the Saturday morning.

We will be rescheduling the Caucus soon to pick delegates from Rockport.

For any Rockport Republican who has been so registered as of Dec. 31st, if you are interested in being a delegate, please let me know.

Rockport has 10 Delegate Spots open (not including ex-officio delegates) however thus far only 5 people have shown interest

Delegates are not bound. You decide who you want to vote for when you go to the convention

If you do not live in Rockport but live in Massachusetts and want to be a party delegate, go to

Local Committees – Massachusetts GOP

(massgop.com) to find the contact info of your local town or ward committee to find out when they will be having their Delegate Caucus.

Town and ward committees have until February 29th to conduct a caucus and select delegates. So, time is running out!

Three Republican Candidates have shown themselves interested in running for the Republican party nomination for Governor, and Gov. Baker is not running for re-election. Here is information about the candidates.

Geoff Diehl – fmr state rep, pro-liberty, and endorsed by Trump. Geoff Diehl For MA – Geoff Diehl For Governor

Chris Doughty – a Businessman, Moderate RepublicanHome – Chris Doughty for Governor (chrisforma.com)

Darius Mitchell – Hip Hop, pro Trump Republican Darius Mitchell_ Massachusetts Governor 2022 🇺🇸 (@LowellCouncilor) / Twitter

I think it is fair to say that the real fight in the primary is between Deihl and Doughty.

Each candidate must get at least 15% of the delegate vote in the Mass GOP convention to be held on May 21, and 51% of the vote to be considered the endorsed candidate of the Party convention.

So, your vote as a Party Delegate matters.

I hope everyone survives the snow. Be safe out there. As soon as I have a new Caucus schedule, I will let you know. Please feel free to forward this email.

Again, Thank You and God bless,

Jonathan Ring

Chair, RRTC.
