PRESERVATION MASSACHUSETTS

MATCHING GRANTS

Letters of Inquiry are currently being accepted through December 1, 2021 for up to $10,000 in matching grant funds for preservation projects.

The 1772 Foundation, in cooperation with Preservation Massachusetts is pleased to announce that funding in the form of 1:1 matching grants of up to $10,000 will be made available for the following historic preservation projects in Massachusetts.

We are grateful to the 1772 Foundation for funding this grant program for 2022 and again in 2023. So if your project isn’t quite ready yet, you can apply next year.

Projects must be exterior work only and the buildings owned (or under long term lease) by a non-profit organization.

Applicants must be a private 501(c)3 organization and active houses of worship and schools are not eligible for funding.

All organizations that wish to be considered should submit a Letter of Inquiry using our online form, available at

https://www.preservationmass.org/ma-hp-grant-loi

Letters of Inquiry not submitted via the online form will not be considered.

Please visit Preservation Massachusetts’ website to review eligibility guidelines for projects, applicants, our LOI prep document and a helpful FAQ section:

Invited applications will be due February 25, 2022. Not all letters of inquiry will result in invitations to submit full applications.
