Rehoboth Congregational Church 300th Anniversary – September Press Release
The Rehoboth Congregational Church 300th Celebration date is almost here. Please join us at the Gazebo at Redway Plain on Route 44 on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. There will be a remembrance moment to honor those lost on 9/11/01. Then there will be entertainment, games, history, picnicking, food and much more. Bring chairs and/or blankets. All are welcome.
The rain date is September 12, 2021.
The 300th Committee continues the planning for the Historic Tour on October 17th. Details will be on the web site. The video project of reminiscences continues.
Members of the church and community are talking about their connections and memories of the Rehoboth Congregational Church and its people.
RCC History Moment
In 1927 a mini tornado hit the area lifting and blowing away the church carriage sheds and twisting the steeple. Area roads were flooded within a 3 mile radius.
