Treasurer Magaziner to Highlight Economic Recovery Initiatives with Unclaimed Property Delivery at Mount Hope Community Center, Bond Discussion at Farm Fresh RI
February 18th, Rhode Island General Treasurer Seth Magaziner will highlight two economic recovery initiatives during stops in Providence; his own initiative to reunite over a thousand small businesses and nonprofits with their missing money, and seven job-creating bond proposals that Rhode Islanders will vote on during this March’s special election.
At 1:30 PM on Thursday, the Treasurer will deliver a check to Mount Hope Community Center, which provides essential services and goods such as COVID testing, free tax preparation, and food supplies to the Mount Hope community.
At 4:00 PM later that day, the Treasurer will visit Farm Fresh RI with DEM Director Janet Coit to highlight the ways in which bond measures would support other job-creating programs like Farm Fresh RI’s Food Hub, which serves as a cornerstone of the Valley neighborhood community revitalization efforts and has provided job training assistance, new job creation, and support for smaller-scale, local Rhode Island farmers.
