RI Society to be Exclusive Continuing Education Partner
The RI Society of CPAs (RISCPA) will be a sponsor for the first time of the cutting edge 3-day conference New Metrics ’16, which will bring together over 85 national and international speakers and over 400 attendees on the topic of sustainable value for companies, being held in Boston this November 14-16.????
New Metrics ’16, to be held at the Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, is organized by Sustainable Brands of San Francisco and revolves around the emerging field for accountants and other finance professionals of evaluating performance and profit metrics for companies that seek to develop a profile in global sustainability in areas of environmental and socially responsible practices.????
Topics to be covered will include how to derive both business and brand value by aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); new programs for assessing risk and reward metrics; vendors and supply chain partnerships, and many others.
Providence College Associate Professor of Accounting, Dr. Michael Kraten, Ph.D., CPA, will be among the speakers, as will representatives from: MIT, the NASDAQ , Ropes & Gray and Evonomics, Crowe Horwath, SAP, Johnson & Johnson, MillerCoors, Virgin Atlantic ,Dell, 3M, Ben & Jerry’s, Rainforest Alliance, Marks & Spencer and many others. CPE Credits for CPAS at New Metrics Conference
As the exclusive Continuing Education Partner (CEP) for the New Metrics ’16 Conference, RISCPA is offering CPAs up to 22 CPE credits by attending specific workshops and sessions. New this year will be a workshop dedicated to supply chain issues that can greatly impact CPAs in working for businesses and clients. Both public and private 21st century businesses face new disclosures and compliance issues that CPAs need to know.??
