deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum to be the Destination for ???Van-Go??? Bus Trips in October

???Van-Go??? Trips, a successful collaboration between Linden Place and the Bristol Art Museum, heads to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum on Wednesday, October 19th. Enjoy an opportunity to sit back, relax and depart from Bristol with door-door service by coach to this well-known destination in Lincoln, MA. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is the largest park of its kind in New England encompassing 30 acres. Providing a constantly changing landscape of large-scale, outdoor, modern and contemporary sculpture and site-specific installations, the Sculpture Park hosts more than 60 works. Inside, the Museum features a robust slate of rotating exhibitions and innovative interpretive programming.????

If time permits, the bus will also visit the Concord Art Association in nearby Concord, MA. Concord Art???s??collection??of leading early 20th century artists includes paintings by including Mary Ogden Abbott, Roger W. Curtis, Daniel Chester French, Jean Francois Millet, and John Trumbull.

The bus departs Bristol from the municipal parking lot on Thames Street across from the Robin Rug building at 9:00am. A luxury coach will be used with restroom facilities on board for a comfortable ride. ??????

The price for this trip is $40 for transportation paid to Bristol Art Museum, PO Box 42, Bristol, RI 02809 no later than two weeks before trip. Please include name, address, email, telephone and emergency contact number. The ticket price for the deCordova Museum is $14, $12 for seniors, payable in cash and collected on the bus. Admission to the Concord Art Association is free.

FRIENDS OF LINDEN PLACE is a non-profit organization responsible for the restoration and preservation of Linden Place, an 1810 Federal period mansion located in the center of downtown Bristol, RI. The Linden Place organization offers cultural, artistic, and educational programs in the RI community. The mansion and grounds are open to the public from May through Columbus Day, during the holiday season, or by appointment.??
