NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

NORTON PUBLIC Library EDITED

Join us on Friday October 28, 2016 from 1:00 PM-1:45 PM in the Community Room for Making Music for Preschoolers. Ellen Hoffman will bring bags of multicultural instruments, including drums, maracas, castanets, bells, sandblocks, triangles, and others, plus pom-poms, puppets, books, and other props to ensure that little hands will always be busy. Ellen’s gentle approach to reading readiness blurs the lines between rhythm and reading, instruments and imagination, and music and movement.??

Ages 3-5. Class size is limited due to materials; pick up your free ticket in the Children’s Room starting 30 minutes before the program.

Please note that a separate session will be offered for ages 2-3 on the same day at 10:30 AM.

This program is supported by a grant from the Norton Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Cosponsored by the Friends of the Library.?? Contact: Meredith Ruhl ?? 508-286-2696 ?? mruhl@sailsinc.org

For those who are new to rug hooking, we have a wide array of kits and supplies and would love to teach any “newbies” this simple, easy art form.????

More information on rug hooking can be found at http://www.loopbyloopstudio.com.
