Old Rochester Regional High School lacrosse star signs letter of intent for Division 1 school – University of MA Lowell
RYAN QUINLAN
Ryan Quinlan, a senior at Old Rochester Regional High School (ORR), and a Mattapoisett, MA resident, will be signing a letter of intent to attend Division 1 school – University of MA Lowell.
The signing took place place in front of ORR and was witnessed and celebrated by Ryan’s family and friends.
Sought after by numerous colleges, Quinlan chose the University of MA Lowell because of their competitive lacrosse program. He was also drawn to the bucolic campus, dynamic coach, and tightly knit team.
Ryan is the son of Henry and Maureen Quinlan. Henry coached the ORR football team for more than a decade.
Henry is now the defensive coach for the Massachusetts Maritime Academy football team.
During his high school athletic career, Ryan also played tight end and linebacker for the ORR football squad.
In 2019, as a sophomore, Ryan was first team all South Coast Conference in lacrosse and was named to the Standard Times Super Team for lacrosse (no season in 2020).
He was captain of the football team.
Ryan also had lacrosse offers from Wagner College and Salisbury University.
Ryan is considering a business degree but is keeping his options open.
