¡CityArts is hiring an Operations Assistant!
¡CityArts! is a community youth arts center that provides access to quality arts education to urban Providence youth between ages 8-14, through free afterschool, summer, and daytime arts residences.
The Operations Assistant is considered part of a community of individuals that are committed to carrying this mission forward. As such, job responsibilities and skills require a foundation of cooperative spirit, leadership, communication, and flexibility.
Under the supervision of ¡CityArts! executive director, the Operations Assistant is responsible for performing general administrative and operations work. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
DUTIES:
Organize and complete basic data entry and other clerical tasks as requested.
Purchase all necessary supplies for administration and classes; manage inventory.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.
Organize incoming information such as phone calls, voicemail messages, emails, and memos and report details to the executive director
Maintain and organize incoming and outgoing mail
Perform basic bookkeeping duties and assist with grant reports
Assist with fundraising and other events
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Strong written and verbal skills
Superb organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications
Experience with communication software (Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Wix, or similar tools)
An eye for attention to detail
A willingness to learn.
Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish preferred
COMPENSATION:
$15/hour; 15hrs/week
