New Season of Mosaic Podcast Steps Away From Media Drumbeat And Delivers Human Stories About What It’s Like To Be An Immigrant In This Country
Providence, RI – The Public’s Radio has officially launched season 2 of their award winning podcast, Mosaic, which gives listeners in New England a way to celebrate diversity and learn about our nation’s history outside of mainstream news.
“It’s not about politics,” said Ana Gonzalez, Producer and Host of Mosaic. “It’s about people – the people who live in your neighborhoods, shop at your grocery stores, and go to the same schools as you. In a way, Mosaic is about more than immigration. It’s about us and who we are as a true mosaic of communities and experiences.”
Season 2 is currently being rolled out on a bi-weekly basis. Mosaic will release new episodes on major podcasting platforms every other Friday, in addition to broadcasting the episodes on The Public’s Radio, 89.3 FM, every Saturday at 3pm and Sundays at 3:30pm. Listeners can explore the stories further by visiting Mosaic’s brand new website that hosts episode specific photographs, resources, and highlights.
The new season of Mosaic continues to trace the history of immigration back to the colonization of America with a focus on true, personal stories of migrants living in New England. Gonzalez adds, “Everybody comes from somewhere, and everybody’s story matters. It’s our goal to use this podcast as a tool to help combat prejudice and present new points of view to conversations on immigration, race, identity and human justice.”

About Mosaic
The Public’s Radio began production on Mosaic in late 2018 with the generous support of the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
The original goal was to create 30 episodes of a series dedicated to telling the stories of immigrants in their own voices.
Since then, we have produced dozens of episodes, hosted in-person events, picked up some awards, and created a bustling community around immigration stories and experiences in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Please visit mosaicpodcast.org to learn more and listen to featured episodes.
