Rose Weaver Joins Lineup at Fall For Lucy’s Hearth Annual Fundraiser

Lucy’s Hearth is pleased to announce that Rhode Island actress, singer, playwright, and motivational speaker Rose Weaver will be hosting the annual Fall for Lucy’s Hearth virtual fundraiser this Thursday, October 29, 2020. She joins an exciting lineup of Lucy’s Hearth champions, including long time supporter, and Presenting Sponsor, Marie Force, and Community Hero and Salve Regina University President, Dr. Kelli Armstrong to raise funds and awareness for the organization. The event will be streaming with live donation updates at LivefromLucys.org at 7 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
The exciting one-hour virtual event will showcase the important community work Lucy’s Hearth has done for 37 years, sheltering homeless children and their families and helping them to find their way home.
Beyond a roof over their head, Lucy’s Hearth provides programs and services that create long-lasting change for families – self-sufficiency, family stability, and permanent housing.
Rose Weaver is known for her roles in The Accused (1988), Poetic Justice (1993), and most recently, The 6th Amendment (2017). Born to sharecroppers in Georgia, she began her acting career in 1975. Since then, she’s earned educational awards and accolades, including an acting fellowship from Trinity Repertory Company, and an MFA from Brown University. She is also the recipient of a Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts.
