ROSE WEAVER-LINDEN PLACE-OCTOBER 3, 2020

Acclaimed Singer Rose Weaver and the Honeysuckle Rose Band to Perform at Linden Place Mansion

Head to Linden Place on Saturday, October 3rd at 4 PM for an al fresco afternoon of jazz, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres in the historic gardens.

Linden Place Mansion is thrilled to welcome acclaimed singer, actress, storyteller, and playwright Rose Weaver and her Honeysuckle Rose Band on Saturday, October 3rd at 4 pm.  Rose Weaver and her band will be gracing the historic Linden Place gardens with their toe-tapping, hip-swinging, electric jazz and blues.  From ballads, to shuffles, to the swing, the Honeysuckle Rose Band pays tribute to the passion and grooves of the time period in which these songs were created.  Come and witness the voice that The Boston Globe states “has the rare ability to prompt laughter that turns into tears” while enjoying catered cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The Honeysuckle Rose Band are frequent performers at the Providence arts festival PVDFest and at Waterfire, and have headlined for the Rhode Island Public Radio Celebrating 20 Years of Sound and Vision event at the Waterfire Arts Center.  Rose Weaver is accompanied by Delbert Collins on keyboards, Dave Zinno, acoustic bass, Vinny Pagano, drums and percussion and Kirk Feather on sax, clarinet and flute.

The performance takes place in the Linden Place gardens at 500 Hope Street, Bristol. Tickets are $85 and $75 for members and include table seating, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  Reservations are required as social distancing rules are in place, and seating is limited.  In the case of rain, the concert will be moved to the open-air Linden Place Ballroom. To purchase tickets, visit www.lindenplace.org or call (401)253-0390.

Friends of Linden Place is a non-profit organization responsible for the restoration and preservation of the historic house museum at 500 Hope Street in Bristol, Rhode Island, and for the promotion of cultural, artistic, and educational programs in the community. The mansion and grounds are open to the public from May to October, during the holiday season, and also by appointment.
