PAWTUCKET PUBLIC LIBRARY

PAWTUCKET PUBLIC LIBRARY LAUNCHES  ONLINE  CHILDREN’S SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Pawtucket Public Library kicks off this year’s Summer Reading Program online.

This year’s theme is “Imagine Your Story”.

Even if we can’t get together, we can enjoy the great stories found in books.

To register for the program stop by the Children’s Library or register online at

www.pawtucketlibrary.org

and hit the link: IMAGINE YOUR STORY SUMMER READING PROGRAM.

While you are on the website, check out information about our virtual programs too.

The program is available for children of all ages and abilities. Summer Reading Programs end on August 22, 2020.

Children who are not reading yet can participate by completing a bingo reading activities log with the help of an adult.

As activities are completed, their progress should be recorded on the library’s website to earn badges and incentive prizes.  Children who complete all 21 activities will have a raffle ticket automatically put in for the grand prize raffles.

Children who can read pledge to read 12 or more hours by (when is the last day they can report) earning badges, prizes and incentives along the way.  Completion of all 12 hours earns the child a raffle ticket automatically put in the grand prize raffles.

Incentive prizes can be picked up by making an appointment with the Children’s Library or by using Contact-Free Curbside Pickup.

This year’s Summer Reading Program was made possible through the support of the Friends of the Pawtucket Public Library, the Samuel Caidin Trust Fund and the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services.
