Attleboro–The Parkinson???s disease support group for Wednesday, September 14 at 10AM will feature a program on vision and eye care led by Nancy Anderson, a low vision specialist from the MA Commission for the Blind. With forty years of experience in eye care, she will explore options to improve vision for people with PD, including use brighter ???natural??? light bulbs, lamps, magnifying readers, and safe lighting in the home. Those with vision problems related to PD will be able to ask individual questions.

On Wednesday, October 12 at 10AM the group will hear from occupational therapist and teacher, Caitlyn Donahue, who will present the results of a sleep study she finished this year through Tuft???s University. (Members of the group took part in this research).?? She will discuss ways to improve sleep and how to deal with fatigue, plus how to improve quality of life despite problems individuals and caregivers encounter.??

The group is free and open to anyone whose life has been touched by Parkinson’s. Meetings are held at Community VNA, 10 Emory Street in Attleboro from 10AM to 12Noon.
