Signs of the times: Rhode Island State Register plaques
RIHPHC is launching a new program to recognize properties listed in the State Register of Historic Places. If you own a property listed in the State Register–and there are about 20,000 of these properties in Rhode Island–you can purchase a plaque to display.
Rhode Island’s State Register includes nearly 20,000 historic and prehistoric resources listed in the National Register of Historic Places as well as additional sites determined to be significant to Rhode Island’s heritage. How do you find out if your property is listed? How do you order a plaque?
The total cost per plaque is $151.60 (includes sales tax and shipping). For more information about applying for a plaque, please visit our website, leave a voicemail at 401-222-4138, or
