City of Pawtucket Accepting Applications for CDBG Funding to Combat Coronavirus
Applications are Due on May 20, 2020

Pawtucket – Mayor Donald R. Grebien has announced that the City of Pawtucket is now accepting applications from qualifying organizations for the first round of CDBG-CV funding to be used specifically for the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the coronavirus. Applications are due on May 20, 2020.
“The coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on our community over the last few months,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “The City thanks Senator Reed, Senator Whitehouse, Congressman Cicilline, and Congressman Langevin for advocating on our behalf and invites all organizations to apply for funding. Together, we will get through this pandemic.”
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program is allocating $1,085,926 to the City of Pawtucket through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed on March 27, 2020.
All applications serving the City of Pawtucket that meet a National Objective, Eligible Activity, AND prevent, prepare for, or respond to the coronavirus will be reviewed. The City is focusing on the following categories:
Food Assistance Programs;
Childcare Programs;
Youth After school/Summer programs;
Senior Programs;
Small Business Loan Programs; and
Job Creation and Retention Programs.
