“Nurses’ Day and First Responder Appreciation Event”
ATTLEBORO — The Professional Firefighters of Attleboro Local 848 and Attleboro Police Association Members participated in a “National Nurses’ Day and First Responder Appreciation” event held at Fuller Hospital.
The event was a joint effort to show appreciation to Fuller’s nurses, in recognition of National Nurse Appreciation Day, as well as support staff and essential workers who continue to care for patients while on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fuller staff reciprocated their appreciation for Attleboro’s first responders including the Attleboro Firefighters Local 848 and Attleboro PoliceAssociation. A parade of vehicles, lights,sirens,and cheers were received with banners and signs held by Fuller staff featuring “#InthisTogether”“#Fullerstrong”and “Nurses2020”.
The event was held Wednesday, May 6that 3:30 pm around the front of Fuller’s property. Neighborhood families were present to observe the event. Attendees and participants adhered to social distancing and PPE guidelinesto ensure the continued safety of our community.
“As first responders for the City of Attleboro and surrounding communities we work side by side with Fuller Hospital on the front lines of this pandemic.” said Paul W. Jacques, President of Attleboro Firefighters Local 848. “during these challenging times it never hurts to say Thank You to those you work with to remind each other we’re in this together.”
