For many reasons, this isn’t a normal edition of our newsletter. On Sunday, March 29th, our Founding President and board member Greg Farrell passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in New York City. Greg was a beautiful human being who led a remarkable life of purpose, adventure and contribution.
If you know EL Education, you know something of Greg’s character, even if you have never met him. There is a great deal about our organization that is inseparable from Greg the person: our vision for challenging, adventurous, and meaningful learning, and the crew culture that supports every student in mastering those opportunities. One of his greatest joys was knowing that all of you, our community, are building on his founding ideas and taking them to heights that he never imagined.
