An Evening with Radoslav Lorković at Stone Soup Coffeehouse
Providence – Stone Soup Coffeehouse is excited to bring Radoslov Lorković to The Music Mansion on Saturday, February 29th. The show starts at 7 pm.
Radoslov Lorković draws from a multitude of influences ranging from elegant classical and jazz styles to the rawest, most basic blues, country and soul.
This unusually broad musical spectrum helps hone in on a distinctive piano style. And while he may be celebrating the 30th anniversary of his first solo debut album, Lorković has been singing and playing since his early days in Zagreb, Croatia.
He’s mastered the boogie-woogie greats on tour with Bo Ramsey and the Sliders and dove deeper to the core of the blues with Greg Greenway. He also picked up Tex-Mex and Zydeco accordion as well.
“This is sure to be one of those rare events at Stone Soup considering the two beautiful pianos at the Music Mansion,” says Barbara Wahlberg, booking coordinator at Stone Soup Coffeehouse.
“When we told Rad about the pianos, a Steinway and a Mason & Hamlin, his eyes lit up. You can be sure, with that reaction, we are in for a real treat!”
Doors open 1/2 hour before the concert. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Drinks & goodies are now offered as part of your ticket price – our thanks for attending our shows.
Donations for refreshments, however, are graciously accepted and will be donated in turn to a worthy cause. This season’s sponsors include Seven Stars Bakery, Knead Doughnuts, and Bolt Coffee Company.
Parking at The Music Mansion at 88 Meeting St, Providence, RI 02906 is limited and carpooling, ride-sharing, and mass transit are highly encouraged. There is also available parking on Benefit Street, a short set of stairs will lead you right up to the Music Mansion.
