Family Explorations: December: Wildlife Tracks and Signs

Date: Sun Dec 15th

Time: 9:30am to 11:00am

Audience:  Families– Ages 1 to 12

Members: $5.00 per person

Nonmembers: $7.00 per person

 

Each month join us at Oak Knoll for special hands-on activities and lessons.  This month we will learn to identify some local animal tracks and signs and go on a walk to see what animals have been visiting Oak Knoll. Preregistration is required. Call 508-223-3060 or go online

Holiday Hike

Date: Sun Dec 22nd

Time: 10:00am to 11:30am

Audience:  All Ages Welcome

Members: $7.00 per person

Nonmembers: $9.00 per person

Join us as we celebrate the holidays with a special hike through the different habitats found at the sanctuary. We will visit a pond, forest and field! Dinosaur Discovery: Ice Age Animals

Date: Mon Dec 30th

Time: 10:00am to 11:30am

Audience:  Families– Ages 5 to 12

Members:  $10.00 per child (Adults free)

Nonmembers: $12.00 per child (Adults free)

Join us as we investigate the Ice Age.  People often think that Woolly Mammoths, Woolly Rhinos, and other giant mammals were dinosaurs. Were they? Discover how these amazing animals were in a league all of their own. We will explore why these animals are  important, go on a hike to explore the  evidence of this ice age on our trails, and then make a craft to take home. Preregistration is required. First Day Hike

Join us as we ring in the New Year with a special hike. The First Day Hike is a national program encouraging people to explore nature with free guided hikes at state parks and sanctuaries on New Years Day.  Designed for individuals of all ages.
