VERMONT: ZEN BARN CELEBRATION NOVEMBER 16, 2019
Zenbarn will celebrate its third anniversary on November 16, 2019 with live art, food, drink and music. A-la-carte BBQ Dinner begins at 6 pm and music starts at 9 pm.
Tickets are available online for $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The anniversary celebration will combine Vermont’s love for local beer, art, and their desire to build a stronger and healthier community. All are welcome to arrive early to enjoy BBQ, live art in progress, and beverage specials.
Brooklyn’s one-man DJ-style band DJ LKHD will open at 9 p.m. The concert will be headlined by Purple, Vermont’s own all-star tribute to Prince. In addition to live music and drinks, local artist Will Gebhard will be creating a live piece in-person to be installed at Zenbarn. The art piece will be auctioned off over the course of one year with a portion of the proceeds going to Vermont Recovery Network.
“Zenbarn started with a simple mission: Build Community,” says Zenbarn co-owner, Noah Fishman. “This year, we commit ourselves to raising awareness and funds to support the fight against opioid addiction, one of the biggest threats to this mission we’re facing today.”
Since purchasing the building in 2016, Fishman has transformed the space to fit a variety of entrepreneurial efforts. Housing a bar, restaurant, music venue, yoga studio, retreat space, wedding venue, CBD business, and a few others is no simple task. Fishman contributed the success to the passion he and his partners have for their profession.
In addition to the celebrations on November 16, Foam Brewers, an event sponsor, will be working with Zenbarn and Will Gebhard to design and create a unique beer can to commemorate Zenbarn’s role in the community. $1 for every can sold of the limited addition run will be donated to Vermont Recovery Network.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Appalachian Gap Distillery, Foam Brewers, and Vermont Recovery Network to throw a big party and raise some much-needed funds for one of the most important issues facing our communities today,” Fishman says.
Zenbarn will also host a screening of the short film “No Easy Mile” on Friday, November 15 at 8pm. A benefit concert following the film features Walk Talk. The events of the entire weekend will celebrate recovery in the state, shine a light on ongoing issues, and raise funds and awareness for Vermont’s addiction crisis.
Zenbarn is opening their doors to welcome the community to enjoy a night featuring everything their business has to offer. Tickets can be found on their website, https://zenbarnvt.com, as well as their Facebook page. The event is sponsored by Appalachian Gap Distillery and Foam Brewers.
