RI Manufacturers Association, Officials to Kick Off Manufacturing Week at MoWC
WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The Museum of Work & Culture will welcome Governor Gina Raimondo, Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor, Department of Labor and Training Director Scott Jensen, Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli Hunt, and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association as they kick off Manufacturing Week in Rhode Island on October 3.
More than 25 Rhode Island manufacturers will host exhibits of their products, as public officials and manufacturers gather to celebrate the state’s manufacturing heritage and share their vision for its future.
The event is part of an international celebration of manufacturing. Each October, producers from around the world gather to promote manufacturing, to teach about the advanced nature of manufacturing in the 21st century, and to showcase the exciting and rewarding careers offered.
The mission of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association is to be the unified voice of the Ocean State’s 1,600 manufacturers. The organization advocates at the federal, state, and local levels for sensible policy solutions that strengthen manufacturing, and serve as a bridge connecting members with the resources they need to compete and grow.
