Attleboro Arts Museum 28th Benefit Art Auction

Bidders will find high-end framed works along with off the wall treasures.

 

Auction Item: “LIFE Magazine Newsstand Paperweight and 1961 Issues” donated by the estate of Bett Scott. Donor Value: $130; opening auction bid $45.

Live/Silent Event: Saturday, November 2nd, 2019

  • Doors open at 5 pm.  Hors d’oeuvres from 5-6:30 pm.  Live auction at 6:30 pm. 
  • Guest Auctioneer: Stuart Slavid of Skinner, Inc.
  • Silent auction final bidding and announcement of raffle winners immediately following the live auction.
  • Tickets: Museum Members – $35 in advance, $40 at the door; Non-members – $40 in advance, $45 at the door. All tickets include hors d’oeuvres served until 6:30 pm; wine, beer and soft drinks served throughout the evening.

A special Auction Preview Party will be held from 6-7:30 pm on October 10th – it is free and open to the public and commemorates the start of the Auction season.

For the first time this year one auction item will be on the silent auction block during the October 10th Preview Party and sold to the highest bidder at the end of the night.  Bidding will launch at 6 pm for award-winning artist Christina Beecher’s landscape, Evening Sky Glow.  When the event concludes at 7:30 pm the top bidder will be the fortunate recipient of this striking work in oil.  The artist value on the painting is $275 and the opening bid will be $95. The chance to bid on this work is only open to Preview Party attendees and will give art buyers a taste of things to come.  

 

2019 marks the Attleboro Arts Museum’s 28th Auction.  The gala remains one of the organization’s most anticipated events of the year and consistently brings over 225 guests to the Museum’s Ottmar Gallery.
