Gardens of Paris, An Illustrated Talk at the Weaver Library
Artist Susan Kapuscinksi Gaylord presents Gardens of Paris, An Illustrated Talk at the Weaver Library on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7 pm.
Gaylord takes her audiences on a visual journey through the gardens of Paris from the well-known Jardin du Luxembourg to small pocket parks and gardens, from the past—the medieval garden at the Cluny Museum—to the present—the Promenade Plantée created on a raised rail line in 1993.
Her slides illustrate the beauty of the gardens and share a little history along the way.
As an artist, Gaylord works in multiple media with a focus on sculptural bookmaking and calligraphy.
Her work has been featured in many magazines and books and has been exhibited across the U.S. and Canada and in Korea.
Weaver Library is located at 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.
