Erika D’Agostino, RN, CHPN, of North Attleboro has been certified as a Hospice and Palliative Nurse.

[Attleboro – March 27, 2019] Erika D’Agostino, Community VNA Hospice nurse, has recently achieved a national certification from the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN®).

To earn this designation, registered nurses must hold a valid license and have worked more than 500 hours as a hospice and palliative nurse in the past 12 months and pass a comprehensive examination.  Successful completion of the exam indicates current competence in hospice and palliative care, and is a highly valued, formal recognition of this expertise.

“With this achievement, Erika has demonstrated her comprehensive knowledge of hospice and palliative care,” said Dawn Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, Community VNA. “Erika is a very respected and valued member of the Hospice team and has dedicated her career to providing the highest level of professionalism and nursing care to our patients and their families.  This certification further demonstrates Erika’s and the organization’s commitment to the practice of hospice and palliative care.”

D’Agostino, who earned an Associate of Science degree in nursing from the Cape Cod Community College, joined Community VNA in May 2014, and lives in North Attleboro, MA.
