SOUTH ATTLEBORO LIONS MOVING GOOD

This time, it happened this past Saturday at Sandcastle, South Attleboro.

One ramp was disassembled for storage and another was removed from its location and reinstalled on another location close by. Thirteen Volunteers from the South Attleboro Lions Club, who had originally made the installations responded to the call.

The way the process works is that once a resident from the area has requested a accessibility ramp for their home through the Senior Center, Health Department or Veterans Agent and have been validated by said agencies, The Lions Club takes action.

The key to this program is that the Lions Club retains ownership of the ramp during its stay at a location, as a temporary installation the Club cleans, repairs and maintains all ramps until no longer needed then removes them for use somewhere else.

No one is ever charged for the ramp its installation or removal.
