CO-OP spotlights community leaders and staff for dedication to assisting those with developmental disabilities.
THE BOARD
North Dighton ???CO-OP, a Taunton-area non-profit agency assisting adults with developmental and other disabilities, held its Annual Awards Meeting on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Venus de Milo Restaurant in Swansea.
A CO-OP Community Award was presented to Home Plate Bay Street Grill owned by Robert and Natalie Anderson for fostering social inclusion through the warm and welcoming culture of their establishment. AJ Duarte accepted an award on behalf of Bernie & Phyl???s Furniture as he and all the employees at the store consistently provide exceptional support of their CO-OP customers throughout Southern Bristol County.
JOYCE AND REGINA
Jessica Avilla from Marian Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Care also accepted an award. Her connection with individuals volunteering at Marian Manor enriches their volunteer experiences. Also accepting a CO-OP Community Award was Alex Rawcliffe from Chili???s Grille & Bar. The Chili???s team always provides exceptional service, and Alex has gone over and above in ensuring that CO-OP patrons feel like valued customers.
According to President and CEO Joyce Faria, ???CO-OP is fortunate to have so many friends in the community who partner with us as we fulfil our mission of supporting adults with intellectual and other disabilities to become valued members of the community. Additionally, we have many dedicated and talented staff such as Regina Lopes, who received the CO-OP 2018 Employee of the Year Award. It is a pleasure to recognize outstanding contributions to CO-OP, including all the staff honored for their years of service.???
